Stranger alert outside Great Chart Primary School

Parents have been warned after a suspicious man allegedly offered a lift home to a lone schoolgirl.

The incident is believed to have happened after school outside Great Chart Primary School in Ashford.

According to reports on social media, a mum witnessed a man in a silver saloon type car approach her daughter.

Others posting in response said the man in the car looked “weird”, and was not recognised as one of the other parents.

Some reports say the suspicious man looked middle aged, possibly in his 50s and was wearing dark clothes. Other reports say he was younger, possibly in his 30s, wearing a black hooded top.

Wendy Pang Headteacher at Great Chart Primary School said: “I have sent an email to parents letting them know that we will talk to the children about stranger danger and for them to be vigilant and reinforce the message too with their children.”
