Witness appeal for Ashford robbery


Kent Police is appealing for witnesses following a report of a robbery on the motorway near Ashford.

It was reported that at around 10.40pm on 12 October 2017, a man and a woman in their 60s were driving a white refrigerated van along the coastbound slip road on the M20 near Junction 9, Ashford, when they were flagged down by a vehicle displaying a blue flashing light.

The victims were then threatened by three men and during the incident a handbag containing cash and personal documents was stolen.

Neither of the victims were hurt during the incident.

The vehicle, described as a grey or white car, left in the direction of Trinity Road.

The first suspect is described as white, aged 25 to 30, 5 ft 4 ins tall with a slim build, short brown hair, wearing dark sportswear and spoke with an English accent.

The second suspect was described as white, aged 25 to 30 and 6 ft tall with a heavy build and short straight brown hair, wearing dark sportswear and spoke with an English accent.

The third suspect was described as white, aged 45 to 50 years old, with a medium build.
