Man dies after two-car collision in Ashford

Officers investigating a fatal collision in Chart Road, Ashford, are appealing for witnesses to come forward. Emergency services were called to the incident which happened at around 9.30pm on Friday 14 December 2018 and involved a purple Ford Fiesta and black Volvo XC90. Both vehicles were travelling along the road in opposite directions when they collided near to the roundabout on Brookfield Road. The driver of the Fiesta, an Ashford man in his 20s, died at the scene. The driver of the Volvo suffered minor injuries.

The road was closed between Brookfield Road and the roundabout on Templer Way to allow officers from the Kent Police Serious Collision Investigation Unit (SCIU) to investigate.
